At PIVOTALL (pi·vuh·tl), we are working to pivot from "business-as-usual" to "business-that-benefits" all.
We aim to help businesses find practical & sustainable ways to do right by their workers, customers, communities, and the environment.

We are a small but dedicated team working together to be a resource for Main Street businesses focused on providing products and services their communities actually need, and to do it in a socially just and environmentally responsible way.
No business is perfect and many struggle with operationalizing their values and staying in business. They grapple with the cost of goods, sourcing quality materials, offering affordable pricing, paying living wages, etc. - all the while, trying to go beyond surviving to thrive.
We strongly believe that by working collectively not competitively, businesses can exchange knowledge, share resources, and help each other build the future that we all seek - where our families, friends and neighbors are doing well, safe and enjoying their lives.
We think Main Street businesses play a critical role in realizing this vision for all. To do that, we need to pivot.
To achieve our goals, we are building our network in order to create a directory of values aligned businesses. We are conducting extensive research into private sector business models and plan on publishing open-access case studies featuring real world examples - U.S. businesses and organizations that are already operating successfully within planetary boundaries.
We intend to demonstrate that a better world is not only possible, but is already here – we just need to do more of it.
The businesses we've identified as case studies range from common business models like coffee shops and retailers, to social-work organizations that provide food and housing assistance services to poor and working-class people.
What they all have in common is an ability to operate successfully without prioritizing profit and exponential growth. In other words, they are comfortable with having "enough", keeping their workers happy, and helping their community thrive without causing harm to the environment.
