Pivoting Businesses To a Purpose Driven Economy

To achieve our goals, we are building a database of values aligned businesses.  We are conducting extensive research into private sector business models and plan on publishing open-access case studies featuring real world examples  - U.S. businesses and organizations that are already operating successfully within planetary boundaries.

We intend to demonstrate that a better world is not only possible, but is already here – we just need to do more of it. 

The businesses we've identified as case studies range from common business models like coffee shops and retailers, to social-work organizations that provide food and housing assistance services to poor and working-class people. 

What they all have in common is an ability to operate successfully without prioritizing profit maximization and growth. In other words, they are comfortable with having "enough", keeping their workers happy, and helping their community thrive without causing harm to the environment.

Our database and case studies are the basis for developing our future Main Street Business Incubator.  

With the collective wisdom, insights and experience of our community, we intend to help others create local ecosystems that are sustainable and just for all.

Together, businesses can build stronger, healthier,  self-sustaining communities by creating meaningful work that meet the needs of the people and the planet.
